1. Stop in at any location, any time with your current picture ID, Social Security card and your initial deposit. To save time, you may either mail to us ahead of time or print out and bring completed our personal information (form).
2. To safely close your old account; stop using your old account, let all of your checks clear, destroy any unused checks and deposit tickets and your debit/ATM card. First National Bank of Moose Lake would be happy to shred these for you.
3. Get in control of your account by setting up your automatic payments on-line or with our Electronic Services. We will walk you through with everything you need. Move your direct deposit with our direct deposit form and redirect your auto payments to your new First National Bank of Moose Lake account by using our auto payment form). Notify your human resources department at work of your new account information. Notify any companies that draft your account for payments of your new account information. (For Social Security or other governmental direct deposits, you will need to complete the governmental direct deposit form. Ask any First National Bank Customer Service Representative and they will provide you with the form and assistance in completing it).
4. When you’re certain that all activity has stopped, close your old account by submitting a close acct form to your old bank and request that any outstanding balance be mailed to you.
