Administrative Assistant
This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys supporting others, values organization and accuracy, and takes pride in providing high-quality administrative and office support in a friendly community bank.
The Administrative Assistant will be primarily responsible for providing diverse administrative and clerical support to the CEO/President, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and all Department Heads as assigned or requested. This includes managing day-to-day administrative operations, schedules, communication with internal and external customers and stakeholders, and composes a variety of written communications, including assistance for monthly Board of Director and Administration meetings. The Administrative Assistant is often exposed to sensitive or confidential information during daily operations and confidentiality is extremely important.
Essential Functions:
- Greet walk-in customers in a friendly, professional manner, and direct them to the proper department. Have an understanding of bank products and services in order to pro-actively assist customers with their banking questions.
- Answer incoming calls on the multi-line system, directing them to the proper department or person, or assisting with quick account transfers or questions as needed.
- Provide high level of confidential/administrative support to the CEO/President, CAO, and Department Heads by handling a wide variety of situations involving the clerical and administrative functions of the office and/or department.
- Prepare board agenda items, distribute to board of directors, record monthly minutes; update policy changes as approved by board and maintain policy review schedule.
- Provide support to CAO for human resources tasks including monthly insurance reconciliation, assigning and tracking training to all departments, and employment policies.
Required Education and Experience
Associate’s degree in administrative, business, accounting, or related field with one to three years of experience in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, or related field with one to three years of experience in banking, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Competencies
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Pro, Teams, Canva, internet, and ability to become familiar with department pertinent software for the bank.
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- High ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work on multiple priorities seamlessly with excellent attention to detail along with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Ability to deliver a high level of responsiveness to internal and external customers; respond sensitively to needs and priorities, recognize and take appropriate action to meet needs; establish effective working relationship to gain respect and loyalty.

Relationship Banker

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to be one of the friendly faces of First National Bank of Moose Lake to our Retail customers. As a Relationship Banker in our Retail team, you’ll take a lead role in delivering an outstanding experience to our customers. You’ll acquire, manage, retain meaningful relationships with our customers, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs.
The Relationship Banker serves as the primary point of contact for consumer and commercial customers, providing tailored financial solutions, opening accounts, and resolving issues to foster long-lasting customer relationships. Relationship Banker will proactively identify customer needs and promote banking products or refer customers as needed. A high level of privacy and confidentiality with all customer information must be maintained.
Essential Functions:
- Open new accounts and promote retail products to enhance customer experience based on their needs.
- Assist business customers with Remote Deposit Capture setup, including onsite support at business locations.
- Analyze fraud being reported and take immediate action to perform mitigation on accounts.
- Provide education to existing customers on products and services available, and any service and/or product updates that may impact the customer, including Digital Banking.
- Schedule monthly visits to business customers to ensure long-lasting relationships and proactively search for new business customers.
- Process paperwork associated with deceased customers.
- Submit cases to core and software providers as needed to resolve issues.
- Assist Retail & Marketing Manager with training and developing staff.
Skills & Competencies:
- Must have advanced understanding of the role of sales and customer service in a community bank environment. Must be able to discover customer needs and be able to obtain new customers.
- Respond sensitively to the needs and priorities of the customer; recognize and take appropriate action to meet their needs; establish an effective working relationship with customers to gain their respect and loyalty.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations and Suspicious Activity Reports and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure and under tight deadlines.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience by acting with a customer-first attitude
- Demonstrate ability to make personal connections, engage and educate customers, ask open-ended questions and listen to establish trust and build lasting relationships
- Exude confidence with customers when sharing product knowledge and solutions
- Excellent communication skills – in person and over the phone – with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products/services to customers with differing needs
- Strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology
- Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately; deliver solutions that make our products work together
- Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meets internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
