Wires

What is a wire?

A wire is an electronic transfer of money from one bank account to another quickly and securely.

Are wire transfers safe?

A wire transfer is a safe and immediate form of payment.  Wires are final and cannot be canceled once the transfer is initiated.  Because of this, they are also frequent targets for fraud.  Reduce your risk by not wiring funds to individuals or businesses you do not know, be wary of schemes to cover taxes, loved one’s expenses and sending back a portion of a check sent to you.

Cut-Off Times

All wire requests received prior to the cutoff times listed below are processed the same day.

  • Cut-off times are Monday – Friday, excluding federal holidays.
